Confidence Coaching

Confidence is a feeling of certainty, belief in, and trust of, our own abilities and our value.

Think of an infant as they reach out to explore their environment with curiosity and open-heartedness.  An infant authentically expresses emotion and lets us know when they are excited, happy, tired, hungry or uncomfortable.  They welcome a friendly face with  complete openness and a beaming smile!!

                                                                                                                                            

We are not born unconfident, we become unconfident. Being unconfident is not your `lot in life`; you can challenge this self-view and you can win the battle!    We are born with very few fears or worries - just enough to keep us safe. 

As we grow into adulthood we expand our horizons and encounter many experiences and countless people with alternative points of view to our own. 

We learn that to act authentically is not always acceptable and so we learn to fit in.

During the fitting in process we squash our truth.  Sometimes we crush our truth until it has such a tiny voice we stop hearing it. 

We become fearful of making mistakes and sometimes believe that even to try would be a mistake


We join the blame culture.  It is our parents fault, our teachers, our boss, our partner,  society at large or even the weathers fault!  Alternatively we believe in the blame culture and think it is us that is faulty.  Perhaps we believe we are less significant than another person, or less important.

When your confidence is low, impossible is a word that is very real to you.  It takes patience, perseverence and tangible action that you cannot refute to show you that impossible is only a point of view.  Challenging limiting self belief through Action helps enormously and you need to remember to be very gentle with yourself, and at the same time very firm!  You are always the best authority on yourself and you need emotional support not emotional pressure.

Instead of dwelling in the past, looking at people and events that have impacted on you negatively, look at where you are now, and where you want to be in the future.  With the support and guidance of a Coach it is possible for you to address your confidence level and your fears, anxieties and lack of self belief.  Grasp your life with both hands and take responsibility!  If you think about it, its yours anyway!!  Work on any anger because anger uses up a lot of  your energy.  You can use that energy in far more useful ways.
